Break resistant wine glasses?

Thread Starter

It seems every break resistant wine glass on line has at least a few people complaining how easily they break.

Any recommendations for something nice looking, large 20 oz. or more and affordable? The Ion Strong at Korin is way outta my league. http://korin.com/Ion-Strong_setsof6

I guess it depends on how break resistant you mean. Reidel tends to be very fragile in my experience. I've seen people break them often when hand-washing and putting them away. I have some Spiegelau and Stolzle glasses that are nice drinking glasses and fairly robust. Can't recall the last time I broke one.

Aloha Mano, You might contact Libbey to see who sells glassware in your area,

Often times they give you a sample or two to try, more than likely if you are buying

glasses from say Walmart they are not Heat Treated and that's why to price is low-

er,page 106 of the Libbey catalog shows you the glass treatments.Take a look at

#7521 it's 22Oz.   Mahalo Tim
