My name is Marnie and I have recently come back to the baking biz.
I went to culinary school 90-91. Graduated in pastry. I worked at a wholesale bakery, the French Embassy and catering in jobs in 91-92. I then moved south and worked in a French bakery for 5 years. After that I was the pastry chef at a country club for 1 1/2 years. While there I was pregnant and made the decision to stay home after the baby was born. I worked from home making wedding cakes/cakes for 10 years. After awhile I was ready to try something different. So I gave up professional baking for a few years. Now I am back and working as a pastry chef at a small family restaurant. It's like I never left a commercial kitchen. I'm enjoying my work immensely.
