Just curious, as a line cook and not a chef/manager, what vendors do you guys use for quality goods like EVOO, mustard, vinegars, oils, duck fat, truffle products etc.etc.? I'm not talking Sysco but specifically vendors who supply quality goods whether they be dry or refrigerated?

Twyst makes a good enough point about differences between states, however, wherever you are there's got to be some kinda restaurant wholesale store somewhere around. My experience is that I shop at Restaurant Depot. They've got a bunch of stores all over the country. Now I'm not telling you to shop there necessarily, but if you can, why not? If not RD, then some kinda restaurant store. They're grocery stores for restaurants, at wholesale prices. The rub there though, is that you need to be signed up, almost always for free, showing that you are in the business and not just some slick consumer looking to buy on the cheap.
