hello my name Hal and i just found chef talk while looking up some recipe costyng programs for my homework,I'm a culinary student and I also have been working in foodservice for 13-14 yrs now and I love it more and more everyday.

Hi Jeff! Welcome to Chef Talk. As a culinary student you'll find this to be a valuable resource. Please keep in mind that until you finish your training, you'll need to limit your posting to the Culinary Students forums and to the General Forums. You're welcome (and encouraged!) to read the Professionals' forums, but don't post there for now.

 

Besides the forums (and the 13+ years of posts you can search), we have cooking articles, cookbook and equipment reviews, photo galleries, a career board and more. We hope you explore it all to learn and to share your experiences, too.

 

What sparked your interest in cooking? Did someone inspire you, or did an experience tell you it was the right path for you?
