Robot coupe power mixer. Advice required.

Hi guys...

I'm asking your opinions based on your experience with this piece of equipment. I was going to buy a vitamix XL wich is a 1.5 gallon blender, but when I saw that it was almost 2K I got discouraged, that's not the kind of money that I want to spend on a blender.

What I need is a tool to blend 2-4 Gallon batches of cream soup, broccoli, asparagus, carrots and so on, and as you know at first is chunky and I want to get a good base for the soup, I'm not looking for a perfect puree, since I strain it anyway, but I need something that makes my team work more efficiently  and more convenient in terms of labor.

I own a Robot coupe and a waring food processor and IMHO the Robot coupe gets the upper hand (I'm not complaining about the waring, both get the job done but I prefer the RC by far) so, I trust this brand big time but since I don't have experience with the power mixer, I'm asking you.

All your advice and opinions will be more than welcome, and also if you know of a good online dealer of this brand, it will be appreciated too. I'm in México but I have a shipping adress in the U.S. So, consider it a domestic order.

Best regards.

Luis

We have one at work and it is truly a powerhouse. Five gallons at a time no problem. You won't get the silky smooth consistenvcy of a Vita Prep blender, but as mentioned you can do 5 gallons at a time with a fairly smooth consistency. It gets used all the time and has never been out of commision in the two years that I have been here. Yep, a good unit, better than the Waring in my opinion.

Thanks a lot cheflayne...All I needed was a little push into it. I'm getting one, RC has always been one of my favourite brands due to it's reliability, so I'm sold. thumb.gif

I have sold the RC MP 450, I And I own one,[for sale] we have never had issues with

them, there are other brands that make the exact same size etc.,I like RC the best,

Their Rep. for your area is Legacy Co,You can call them and see what dealer they

recommend,I do not encourage an Online Dealer for this product.
