instant tapioca vs tapioca starch for thickening berry pies

I have a pie business and just came across tapioca starch-- Has anyone used this instead of instant granulated tapioca for thickening berry pies?

I have, and with great results, I really like the lack of the 'pearls'.  And it freezes well!
