Hi everyone, my name is Jason.  I am an EMT in Wyoming and an avid home cook.  I have a moderate amount of culinary training via apprenticeship and a former restaurant owner.  Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey, Jason- nice to meet you. My hat's off to you EMTs for doing a tough job, often in tough circumstances. My brother's a doctor who used to moonlight in ERs during his training and he has a lot of respect for you guys. thumb.gif

We home cooks feel right at home here at Chef Talk. The site is billed as "a food lover's link to professional chefs", and it is all that and more. The Professional Chefs' forums are "read only" for home cooks like you and me, but we can read there to our hearts' content. Everybody posts in the General forums, including the pros, so we can take part in the discussions there.

But the discussion forums aren't the whole story. Don't miss the cooking articles, cookbook and equipment reviews, the photo galleries, archives and more. Good thing we have a search tool to get through it all- plus, there's more than 13 years' worth of content!

So what are your favorite things to cook? Are there dishes you'd like to learn how to make? With members from all over the world, all levels of expertise, this is the place to get started.

We hope you'll come here often to participate and pick up some pointers.

Welcome!
