Hello

My name is Alli and I found this website/forums when googling why my darn cupcakes collapsed.  What I learned was that pan size makes a difference.  I used a cupcake pan and a cake recipe.  Who knew?  Well, some of you did, apparently.  I read so much that I figured I should be a member.

I am an accomplished home chef and baker.  My passion is that my family eats healthy and tasty meals made from whole foods and not processed items...with the occasional sweet treat thrown in.  At lunch time my man's coworkers wait to start eating until they see what he has, it is important to me that he get a proper hot meal while "bringing home the bacon".  His coworkers then unwrap their pitiful sandwiches or "nuke" their frozen meals.

I am most comfortable in the kitchen with multiple burners going, the oven on and flavors melding in the fridge.  It is my happy place.

With gratitude,

Alli

Aloha Alli, Welcome to Chef Talk.

I was sitting here chuckling to myself as you described lunch for your guy, mine did the same thing prior to our retirement.  It was like little kids wanting to trade lunches, but I made sure that my DH always had enough to share.

I think you’ve already found that you’re in great company; I’d say for the most part, the kitchen is the happiest place on Earth for folks who want to share in all things food.

Please take a moment to review the FAQ, Tutorials and Community Guidelines.  A note, the Pro section is read only for folks not employed in the food industries.

Have you seen cheftalk.com on Face Book and Pinterest yet?  That’s another great resource.  I hope you’ll stop by often and post some pics of your hanywork.

Once again Alii, welcome.

Mahalo Kaneohegirl.  I will post worthy pictures, I am not here to promote anything but to learn from those more experienced than myself and make some digital kitchen friends.

With Gratitude,

Alli
