Hi. I've just recently got my first sous chef position and and was wondering if you could give me any pointers or tips?

Watch the chef's back.

 

Take ownership.

 

Be friendly, not friends, with the staff.

 

If the chef is open to input, give it; if not, don't.

 

Lead by example.

 

Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Always wear clean underwear, so that way if there's an accident you won't scare the nurses.
