An Introduction

Hello.

 

This posting is to introduce myself per the request I received from Nicko upon registering.

 

My name is Richard and I live in Washington State.

 

I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, a husband, a father, a gardener, a dog lover, a gun owner, a truck driver and a constitutionalist.

 

I am a seasoned culinary professional with 35 years in the industry.

Started washing dishes at 16, saute cook at 20, chef at 25, culinary arts instructor at 35, asst. foodservice director of a large, public school district at 43.

Currently, I am the Director of Food Services for an exclusive, private boarding school.

 

So, there you are.

My chef-brother began as you did, washing dishes and moving up from there. He later went to culinary school and built two successful restaurants. I can guess your current position is quite challenging in many respects.
