I'm baking a cherry liqueur cake the recipe calls for 3/4 cup vegetable oil and 3/4 cup cherry liqueur. I don't have any vegetable oil. Can peanut oil or olive oil can be used instead?
can another oil be substituted?

If a trip to the market to get some veg oil is out of the question, use peanut oil. olive oil has too much flavor that wouldn't be very nice in a cake.
