Hello everyone, I just joined CT as a home cook from Elmira, NY USA
Public school teacher by day and kitchen dweller in the evenings/weekends.

Hello Randy! Welcome to Chef Talk. We hope you enjoy being part of this great community of food lovers and chefs. What are your food and cooking passions?

 

I'm a retired public school teacher myself (and home cook). I know how therapeutic it can be to put the paperwork aside and head for the kitchen. Here you can find just the right recipe to spice up your weeknight menu, or that special project to make over a weekend. Do you bring food and cooking into the classroom? I used to do that quite a lot. 

 

Take some time to explore the forums, including the professional forums. However, those are "read only" for home cooks like you and me. The general forums are for everyone, so feel free to post in any of those. Besides the many discussion forums we have cooking articles, equipment and cookbook reviews, photo galleries and more. I think our members are a valuable resource too! We hail from all over the planet, all levels of expertise, many flavors of cooking to try.

 

We hope you visit often to share, learn and participate. Welcome!
