Hello All,


Let me introduce myself. My name is Marco Ropke - I have been a pastry professional for the better part of 25 years, and am from a family (fourth generation in fact) of pastry chefs originally from Hamburg, Germany. I relocated to Lyon, France when I was 18 years old. From there I have been the Executive Pastry chef at hotels in Scotland, Tokyo, Dubai, Taipai, Shanghai, Beijing, Toronto... but then fell in love with Vancouver, BC.


I now reside in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada - and am currently the owner and instructor of 'The Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver'.


I hope to be able to help with some questions, post some recipes, and be a resource for knowledge and insight.
