I'm looking for a recipe for an "unauthentic" Tortoni that I remember from the early '60's.   As best I can remember it included coconut macroons crumbled into a creamy base that also included the cherries and almonds.  There are a lot of recipies on the internet, but they all seem more traditional (biscotti base topped w/ the cherries and almonds).  Any help would be appreciated.
