Welcome gc84,

You're "from Mexico", are you still there or elsewhere?

Are you planning to go to culinary school ($$$) or have you looked into getting a job in a kitchen and learning the old fashioned way, on-the-job or apprentice?

Lots of those in the industry learned their trade on the job. That's a good way to find out whether cooking for a living suits you. Many who go the school route find out shortly after school that it is not for them, money and time wasted. Even six months to a year in a kitchen, probably starting as a dish washer or helper helps, whether you go to school or not.

As an "at home cook" you are free to read all of the forums however, the Pro forums are for posting by those already in the trade.

There are several Culinary Student forums that will give you lots of insight and guidance for preparing to work in the industry. Most questions you might have will probably have been asked by others and answered by many with a lot of experience.

gc84, did you mean to post this in a different forum?

I think you did post the same here already in the New User Introduction, we could move this for you if you like, in order to get a wider audience.
