Greetings from the Deep South

Thread Starter

Just a quick hello from the Deep South where the temperature is a beautiful 86 degrees F (at 6:00 am). Summer here is hard to get away from but I wouldn't live anywhere else. I will however visit just about anywhere that is cooler than the oven I call home. I am an instructor at the community college in New Orleans and I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Hello Y'all and welcome! I'm from the south too (well, southern Wisconsin blushing.gif) and we're delighted to have you with us. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that your name means you like dachsunds, not that you bake them. eek.gif Seriously, I can see by you posts you're the pastry instructor, right?

One of our long-time members, Jim (Berman) is also a culinary instructor. You might enjoy reading about his and his students' exploits. The search tool can help you find Jim, his posts and pieces in the Cooking Articles. You're welcome to contribute to that too. We're more than the discussion forums, although they're excellent ways to connect with other professionals and to share with other food lovers from all over the world.

We hope you enjoy being part of the community and that you gain from your participation. We'll all look forward to your contributions as well.

Welcome!

Mezzaluna
