My name is Jeanne and I have been a home cook for several years. My dream has been to always get my own bake shop. I just feel like its now or never. So, I am looking to start out small and sell my products at a farmers market to see how well they do.

 

I am looking forward to learning all that I can about this endeavor. If there is anything that you can think of just right off the top of your head, please send it my way. If there are any special websites for great deals; books; or just some helpful hints because you've been there and done that - it would be greatly appreciated.

Aloha, Welcome to Chef Talk Jeanne, so glad that you found all of us.

Isn’t this place amazing? You're in great company. Folks here are from all walks, culinarily speaking as well as geographically. I found CT about two years ago as a Home Cook, and now have built up enough confidence in myself to strike out in a new food business.

Please take a moment to review the FAQ, Tutorials and Community Guidelines.  A note about the forums though, folks who are not employed in the Professional food trades are asked to read only in those, but they are fascinating, I’ve learned so much there.
