That looks better than the cronut.

I must be the only one who is repulsed by the sight of it.

Food crazes are shorter and shorter. I'm having trouble following. Just had my first cronut the other day, and they're already being eclipsed.

I get a news feed from Honolulu and the folks there are all abuzz over what they are calling the Saimin Burger.

When I showed this to DH he thought was "a pretty cool idea, thinking outside of the box" (he should be the cook surprised.gif) ... and he SAYS he's not a foodie ... this dish combines two yummy dishes, fried saimin and burgers ... I think I'll try to replicate this...

Wow, long before I was a cook for pay I did this kind of thing all of the time. We are talking a long time ago. I was young, often inebriated, and thought I was totally awesome. At least the cronut required some skill to pull off and ate well. This looks a hot mess. I also used to make a mac and cheese pork belly roll. Some jerk in a food truck please do that and become a flame ball douche. How about this, a soba noodle fry bread, wraped around tuna tatakai, kimchi, refried beans and pulled pork. Served with aus jus.

This crap makes me long for foams...

Oh yeak, just to show that I am not so high and mighty, here is a platter of fauxnuts I made for a party I had. Catch is I subbed half of the butter for whipped fois gras. So, yeah, I am a jerk too.

I think it's an interesting idea actually perhaps not as a burger per se but maybe as something open faced where the noodles are the bed for the burger.....it could be interesting with slices of spiced pork with any number of asian inspired sauces....hoisin, ginger, orange etc. I've seen worse...lest we forget the 'Krispy Kreme bacon cheeseburger'...now that was truly disgusting.
