Hello from the San Francisco Bay area

Thread Starter

I was so happy when I discovered this web site.  My short time using it has been fun and rewarding.  I have been an avid amateur chef for many years.  I love to cook and to host dinner parties for my friends.  My style of cooking is very varied, but most Mediterranean for our everyday meals and heavily French influenced for dinner parties.  I also do a lot of wine tasting.   I think the most important part of cooking is Taste, Taste and Taste as a dish develops and in sourcing excellent ingredients.  I eat at restaurants selectively, either to get ideas and see what the most creative chefs are doing or just to relax at  non pretentious favorites where I know the food is taken seriously...It needn't be fancy, just good.  On a final note, I'll taste almost anything, at least once.

The Articles, Reviews and the Galleries are pretty fab; the Search Bar at the top of the page can show you topics that have been discussed previously.

Once you’ve reviewed the Community Guidelines, Tutorials and the FAQ and you have questions in regards to the website, feel free to post those in the Feedback & Suggestion forum, everyone has great respect for one another.  Check out cheftalk.com on Face Book as well as Pinterest too.  Once again, welcome.
