Hi! I've recently been interested in baking and might start my own bakery some day. I decided to join this site so I can get feedback on recipes and my questions answered! Thank you all very much in advance for our enlightening discussions!

I see you chose ‘other’ as your culinary experience, could you tell us more about yourself?  Do you work in the food biz now?  We’ve got loads of folks interested in the sweet side and are always generous with their knowledge, and not just the Professionals either.

Take a look around, check out the FAQ, Tutorials and Community Guidelines and if you still have questions about the site itself, you can post those in the Feedback & Suggestion forum.  CT is more than a food forum, the Galleries, Articles and Reviews are terrific!  Oh, cheftalk.com is on Face Book and Pinterest too.

I hope to hear more from you and see some of your work too.

Please take some time to explore the site. If you need to figure out how to use various features here, I suggest a trip to the FAQ page, where just about all your questions will be addressed. If you still have some, just contact any moderator and we'll give you a hand. The discussion forums are wonderful and as you probably know, there are both Professional and General forums. Everyone can read in all the forums, but the Professional forums are open for posting only to those who are now working in the field. Home cooks like me (and, perhaps, you) must do our posting the General forums where everyone posts.

I am a college student who is just getting really interested in baking and I am experimenting with different pastry recipes. I have two forum threads that I would love an answer to. I really just plan to use this website as a resource for my experimenting as I grow into a better pastry chef! as to myself giving you an answer, well, I really could say on either of your questions, but someone out in CT-land will pick it up and help you out...  did you try a search at the top of the page?
