Orange and Dark Chocolate Scones!

Hi! I have a recipe for raspberry and white chocolate scones that we call cake scones because they are not as crumbly as others that Ive had. I wanted to mix up the recipe and make dark chocolate and (what Ive heard goes well with chocolate and scones) orange scones. Can I just switch out the ingredients in the latter for the new ones? Maybe two teaspoons of orange zest?
