Hello from Providence, RI !

I happened to stumble upon this forum through some culinary research, and I am so happy I did!


I am from Delaware, currently living in Providence and a second year attending Johnson & Wales for Culinary Arts FSM. I have loved every moment of this wonderful opportunity and hope to broaden my culinary knowledge through school and sharing with others on this site of our similar passion.


In the long run I plan on graduating with a Masters in teaching so I can become a culinary instructor, whether for a university or high school. I know there will be many stops along the way to reach my goal and get my foot in the door, as I need to continue my restaurant experience.

Aloha, Welcome hjr to Chef Talk.

It amazes me how generous the members are with their knowledge of all things food.  I was doing to same as you about two years ago, searching the `net for an answer to a cooking dilemma, and here I am.  I would have to say though I am a died-in-the-wool-foodie from way back before there was such a word, HA!

Take a lookey-loo around; do keep in mind thought at the Pro forums are read only for us folk who are not employed in the food industries.  Make sure to go to the Culinary Student forums too.

Should you have questions in regards to the site itself once you've had a chance to go over the FAQ, Tutorials and Community Guidelines, you can post those in the Feedback & Suggestion forum.

I hope to see you often, here, as well as at Face Book and Pinterest, that’s right CT has a page and a following on both.
