Marinade

After marinating meat then grilling is it safe to boil/simmer the marinade and drizzle some over the meat??  Thanks

I do it with beef and pork, never poultry.

I mostly use up the marinade for basting during the grilling, however, straining and reducing it works well. Using the marinade for the sauce is essential for classic sauce poivrade for venison, for exampple.
