Dia Duit from norn iron!

Hey everyone. I've always wanted to be a chef since leaving school but never got round to getting the qualifications. I've recently came across a part time level 2 nvq for this field and decided to finally go for it as it fits around my job perfectly.

It's pretty much the basics, most of which I've cooked many times before but I'm still excited never-the-less.

All tips / rookie mistakes / first time horror stories would be great! Any threads based around these subjects? Hahaha
