Really excited!

Hello and thank you for allowing me to be a member of this community.
I am from Romulus, Michigan. I am fulfilling my dream of becoming an all around chef but concentrating on baking and pastries.
My love for the kitchen began as a child when "Santa" gave my sister and I a child size kitchen set, complete with stove, refrigerator, and sink. Yes, the whole kitchen! We spent hours in our basement cooking and baking. Then, seeing how much we loved our kitchen, Santa added to the collection with an Easy Bake Oven. Oh boy, the baker was truly born.
Anyway, I am looking forward to all the tips and hints and hope that I am able to pass some along myself.

Yup, I’d say that we are pretty friendly bunch.  It amazes me how generous the members are with their knowledge of all things food.  I was doing to same as you about two years ago, searching the `net for an answer to a cooking dilemma, and here I am.  I would have to say though I am a died-in-the-wool-foodie from way back before there was such a word, HA!

Take a lookey-loo around; do keep in mind thought at the Pro forums are read only for us folk who are not employed in the food industries.
