spatlula melted in non stick pan

Thread Starter

A plastic spatula melted inside a calaphon non stick pan. Didnt seem bad and cleaned right out except there is a residue leftover that I can not get rid of. Can someone please help me with a solution? Thanks.

I would say burn it off (500 degree oven/full blast on a gas stove) but its a non-stick pan (can't scrape, and bad stuff happens at 450 degrees)... so you might be screwed. Protip: use silicone

yeh probablu should scrape , i would either buy a new pan , or add in water to the pan it boil it till the crud releases.

But dont go on my word , never happened to yet XD

Before you throw the pan away you may try nail polish remover, I dont know what this will do to the non-stick coating though. You may also try an adhesive remover like Goo Gone. Did you try baking soda or vinegar? Let us know if anything works. Good luck.
