Oh yes, it's fantastic added to spice cake batter for a spiced pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting. Adding pumpkin or apple butter makes a very moist cake.
I'm thinking about incorporating it into a tiramisu. In the past I've used pumpkin puree and it hasn't been quite right, pumpkin butter may work better.
That's a terrific idea! Totally OT but Strawberry Tiramisu is also delicious.
