Do you cook anything special for Halloween? Do you make any scary foods? I'm not very creative buy looking for something to do to celebrate Halloween.

I was thinking of a pumpkin chili with ground hearts and marrow bones.

We usually cut and decorate sugar cookies in Halloween style.

First time ever doing Halloween food... for my kids' party: witch's fingers (breakfast sausage wrapped in puff pastry, ketchup and almonds for the nails).

wow, ff, those are really creepy!

There are sicilian cookies called ossa dei morti, the bones of the dead.  KIds in sicily traditionally got their presents not at christmas nor at the befana (epiphany) but on all soul's day, halloween - deriving from some remnants of ancient Roman ancestor worship - the dead grandparents or great grandparents left gifts for the kids on the graves, along with the bones-of-the-dead cookies.  I don't know much about it but I imagine it's something similar to the Mexican halloween celebrations.

Wow those look yucky! In a good way of course.  I forgot to post my kid's dinner last week in this thread.

Mummy dogs with blood sauce and slimy green eyeballs.
