So my wife went to NYC Food and Wine Show

She actually went for work but played a lot.  Dinner at Cafe Boulud and Joe Bastiniach hosted them for dinner at Del Posto.  For you guys who don't already know Heidi heads the thermal applications innovation team at General Mills and she was one of the people behind the Progresso Artisan line.

Wonderful!  I've dined at Cafe Boulud and it was a pleasant meal.  Sorry your wife had to meet this Bastianich guy, he's so sour.

He's actually quite nice and normal.  They pick those moments for TV and they're usually the net result of frustration, like 15 hours trying to teach culinary basics and having someone make a dumb decision.

I am SO jealous!  That is a huge reason why I would LOVE to live in a major city again, FOOD!

Restaurants, markets, food and/or wine festivals, food trucks/carts ... Here in the middle of the desert we don't have much.

Some day I'll make it to NYC again ... most women want to go to Manhattan to shop, not this gal!  I want to eat and cook!

Yeah, for those of us who think we've caught up to NYC... no way!  Not even close!

I love my hometown.  Kuan, I remember when Joe would make appearances on his mother's show, I never really loved Lidia either to tell the truth.  There's something about his demeanor that's not fun to watch on television.  He's a bit subdued and uninteresting.  That's no reflection of what his real personality is like of course since I don't know him, I'm just saying my opinion as a spectator.  I do watch masterchef.
