Just a little about me. I'm an adrenaline junkie type of guy, motorcycle road racing, rafting, having a baby girl in the next couple weeks, diving with sharks, cliff jumping, up coming summer going to learn to fly(figured it was safer than being shot out of a cannon). I just like to have fun. I've always loved cooking and came across this forum while looking at upgrading my old and not so great knives (henckels Int fine edge pros) after taking time to save up for some really nice cutting tools. I mean with having a little girl on the way I'm going to need something that can circumcise a gnat to scare the boys away and maybe cook here and there. I'm never been big on recipes and slop stuff together and 70% of the time it works 100% of the time.

I look forward learning a lot from the members here as I'm a complete noob that's been watching youtube to learn all my techniques for years.

Aloha, Howdy, Welcome to Chef Talk, so glad that you found all of us.

Isn’t this place amazing? You're in great company. Folks here are from all walks, culinarily speaking as well as geographically. I found CT about two years ago as a Home Cook, and now have built up enough confidence in myself to strike out in a new food business.

Please take a moment to review the FAQ, Tutorials and Community Guidelines. You're not going to just stay in the knife section are you?  There so much more to CT... do you have a fav food group that you lean towards?  I could bake all day, but my waistline says otherwise.

I hope that you will visit as often as your busy schedule will allow, here as well as on Face Book and Pinterest.

Once again, welcome!

Thanks again for the warm welcome and no I deff will be on this forum for more than just the knives. As far as a favorite type of food I really cannot say I love cooking and eating it all from fish to pork, shellfish, red meat, poultry. I started trying my hand at pies(very basic dough and fillings) a few weeks and so far so good( got to learn to walk before I run). Yesterday though I bought a whole pork lion and will start cutting it up today and I had a few ideas on some things I want to try with that.
