New marinating idea

Hello,

 

I am a final year student, finding out further information about how and why people marinate foods and any kitchen appliances they have recently brought.  I’m really interested in food, and my product will encouraging people to cook healthier more flavoursome foods. I have recently come across a new technique of marinating food, due to pressure (pressure marinating). This enables the user to marinate all different types of food in a fraction of the time. For my final year product it will include this technique, within the product.

 

 

I would really appreciate any theories on how this works?

 

Would you as a user buy this product?

 

Any cooks, have you got a similar product in restaurant kitchens?

 

Any feature which would be useful?

 

Limitations

first advice would be to figure out what you want to ask.

 

that's my reaction based on:

" why people marinate foods and any kitchen appliances they have recently brought."
what does marinating have to do with (all other - see your survey) appliances?
bought when?  recently?  ever?
how often used?
sorry but the question makes no sense.
you go on to ask about BBQ; on an indoor grill?  
there's a difference between BBQ and grilling.

what product?

not to put too fine a point on it but pressure and vacuum marinating techniques are not even remotely "new"

stunned silence.... you're going to design and sell a product without knowing how it works?
and asking would we buy this product?
should you not be explaining to us how it works and asking whether it is helpful?

 

I sense a language barrier issue - but past that there is not really many questions to your to be answered.

Marinating under vacuum has been going on a loooong time.  Butchers have a device called a vacuum tumbler, and love it because  meat can absorb a tremendous amount of marinade, and marinade is cheaper than meat.  This is the "Flavour enhanced" pork you see in supermarkets as well as almost every chcken breast or wing that is sold under 5 bucks.

 

Most home-style vacuum packers come with some kind of a marinating tub, and have instructions on  how to marinade in a vacuum pouch.

I have to agree with the others------

 

Your survey needs focus-----

 

The items you listed to marinate meats in are not really marinades----

Most cooks,I believe, mix up a batch of marinade using various ingredients

 

My simple go to for beef includes:White wine--pineapple juice--soy sauce--ginger--garlic and black pepper.

 

The point is,you had no place on the survey for home made marinades---

 

At one time we made 5 gallon batches and soaked the meats for a given time--this allowed the wine and pineapple juice to tenderize the meats and add flavor before grilling.

 

Please, have someone with cooking experience and marinating in particular,look at your survey.

None of your questions to me are relative , let alone i dont know you objective. 

 

I answered the survey , but i got so confused considering some answer choices were just incorrect or we could only choose one answer that i ended up not finishing. 

If i were you i would research , think , study , proof read , higher someone who can clearly type and translate your survey and idea, then try again. 

 

Right now , i think you got nothing <_<
