Found this site today and eternally grateful! I know I will be able to learn something every week here at cheftalk.com!

 

I am an entrepreneur of sorts. I want to be a caterer for children's parties! I'm not sure how well thought out any of this is, but I am taking the idea and running with it. I have children of my own and I know how hard it is to get them to eat ANYTHING! I feel that creating a unique plate that looks fun will convince any child to eat it without bribery (works for my kids) ;p I also posted a new thread in "professional catering" where i am trying to get ideas for the name of this catering company, so please stop by and give me your brainpower!

Yup, I’d say that we are pretty friendly bunch.  It amazes me how generous the members are with their knowledge of all things food.  I was doing to same as you about two years ago, searching the `net for an answer to a cooking dilemma, and here I am.  I would have to say though I am a died-in-the-wool-foodie from way back before there was such a word, HA!

 

Take a lookey-loo around; do keep in mind thought at the Pro forums are read only for folk who are not employed in the food industries.

 

Should you have questions in regards to the site itself, you can post those in the Feedback & Suggestion forum.
