Hi folks! Really glad I found this forum. I am a new entrepreneur but have been in the bar biz for almost 20 years. I am in the process of putting together a sports bar with the help of a great Chef. I'm stopping by to read advice and tips and so far, have really been impressed by the insight from the Chefs and enthusiast on here. I don't have much to offer yet as far as any advice, but will probably fire off some questions here and there.  Thanks to Nicko and Mods for creating such an informative site (and no I'm not his relative!) I wish all the best of luck in their current and future endeavors. Hel :thumb:

Aloha Helvis, welcome to Chef Talk.

What type of bar are you doing?  What kind of dood? There are a couple of other folks that joined CT recently who also are starting pubs.  Personally, I love tapas, pupus, finger food or as a friend of mine says, "party food" ... I like that.

Take a lookey-loo around, if you have questions, give a shout out.

And don't forget about us Home Experts, we bring a ton to the table each and every day to feed our family and friends.  We're all about sharing in anything food here, I hope that you will visit often and particpate.  Oh, and check out cheftalk.com on Face Book and Pinterest.

Aloha!

Hi! Sports and social venue revolving around taste. From the kitchen to craft beers and wine. Even the coffee and sweet teas will be addressed.on top of competent service, I want everyone to walk away with a favorite "something". Tapas definitely. UK to American beer fav and fused foods are the mains with Chefs specials. We are going to have fun with everything we do. Not stuffy. Blah blah I could go on and on! I'm very enthusiastic about our new project. Aloha!
