Making Almond Paste

Anyone here ever try making almond paste without a Cuisinart, blender,etc. Would it really have to be ground into a fine paste? I have lots of time to use knifes or whatever other means to reduce it. Will not be getting another Cuisinart until after the first of the year.

I woudn't even think of making almond paste by hand.  But if I did, I'd use a mortar and pestle rather than a knife.

I think everyone should make almond paste from scratch at least once in their lifetime.

In fact I am proposing it be placed on everyone's "bucket list".

Makes you appreciate the small things.
