The boss has ok'd a new slicer!!!!

Ok everybody, our boss / owner has allocated our head cook $800.00 for a new meat cheese slicer. It is an Italian / American menu. We use the slicer maybe a total of 1-2 hours a day. We need a 12 inch blade. Where online should we look? Thanks everybody and KOBA - keep on being awesome!

An $800 slicer is not going to slice much cheese. I also would never buy a slicer sight unseen.

You need to look at all the small details, ease of cleaning, removing the blade guard, etc.

 

I would look for a used Hobart or other well known brand.
