how should i store my duck confit

so first time making duck confit at home and i've only made it in school before that.

my questions are... can i freeze the duck? half is shredded off the bone, some is still in tact

also if i was to just refrigerate it how long could it potentially last?

currently it's all being held in air tight bags in my refrigerator, i was told i can freeze the duck in mason jars covered with the duck fat.. is this true? any tips would help

thanks!

If you properly cure the duck first, it will last 4-6 months in the fridge no problem as long as you keep it covered with fat.
