I'm making a coconut cake this weekend.  The cake pan I will be using is an 11x15x2.  My question is I have the perfect coconut cupcake recipe- do I have to do anythign to convert this to a cake?

if the recipe is for a 11x15x2 pan, there's no problem.

but since you didn't mention anything about how many cupcakes it makes, really hard to say . . . .

Wilton.com has a chart that gives you how many cups of batter needed for all the most common pan sizes.
Just need to figure out how many cups your cuppie recipe yields
Lots of other info as well.
Sorry I normally have the link but doing this on my supposedly smart phone.
Yeah... Smarter than me lol.
