Need some help with the recipe

I am a young cook, and tonight I am home alone and was fairly hungry. I decided to poke about in our cupboard and fridge. I cut some potatoes into slices, minced some onions, and cut a few white mushrooms. I mixed them together and added a few peas and some sliced carrots. I then seasoned them with thyme, sea salt, and black pepper. I currently have them in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and they have been in there for about fifteen minutes. How much longer should i cook them, and should I change the current temperature? Thanks.

I forgot to mention that they are wrapped in aluminium foil.

Well by now they're probably cooked. The problem with that kind of dish is that all those veggies may require/benefit from different cooking times. So cooking them all together from raw means some are bound to be under/overcooked. For example by the time the potatoes are cooked, the mushrooms and peas are most likely overcooked. 

 

In any case I would cook until piercing one of the potatoe slices with a knife doesn't yield any resistance.

When I rummage round and find odds and ends like that, I cook the longest

cooking items first, then work my way down to the fastest, and finally the eating part.

In this case I would've baked or steamed the potatoes and carrots, then when mostly

tender, dumped them in a pan saute with the onions and mushrooms (and peas maybe

if they weren't RAW peas) seasonings  and your favorite cooking fat.

How long you need to cook what to get them all where you want them is a matter of

experience, and depends in part on how you prep them--slicing verses whole, etc.

Best method for that stuff, and leftovers in general, is a stirfry served over some rice.
