lenny henry's "chef!"

hi anybody watched this before? in some of the episodes when he calls a new docket order to the other chefs, he starts with a phrase,  something like smarge, or samarsh.. ? anyone know the word he says and what it meens? cheers

It is the French "ça marche", which literally translates as "it works". Meaning more "here we go!" in this context.

 

We had Chef! a decade ago over here!! Absolutely hilarious, I love Lenny Henry.

Off topic, but Lenny Henry has appeared in a couple of productions of Shakespeare's plays, to rave reviews in recent times.

He's come a long way since his CHEF and Red Nose Day Events:D

I, too, have the DVD collection and go back to it from time to time. REALLY funny stuff and some fairly accurate details in cooking. Highly recommend!
