anyone out there NOT eat their baked goods?

I need to be careful with sugar and wheat products. I LOVE baking but i wont eat any of it. On occasion i'll "cheat" a little but generally its a no no for me. i look for a good texture, smell, the way something looks - and then my husband is my official taste tester.

Anyone else out there like me ? Do you have other people tasting your recipes for you ?

I love to bake. I use my kids as testers. But then again if its sweet they will usually eat it anyway. I very rarely eat my baked goods , not that I couldn't. I just already do enough sit ups tongue.gif

hahaha... kids are great taste testers !!! I'll often "grill" my husband with detailed questions ... is it moist / dry... does it have enough cinnamon? too much crumb topping? He knows that he gets to enjoy the stuff but he have to answer all my questions. Also, he'll help me by telling me its good enough to serve... or good enough to sell. That sort of thing.

well i am on a gluten free and vegan diet - there is a lot of stuff i bake that i cannot eat.  luckily for me i am working in a gluten free bakery that also has vegan products but there is still a lot there that i can't have.

at home i have my kids taste test and friends as well, however, most of the time i alter recipes so i am able to eat them myself.  can never trust the palate of the kids lol!
