Hi, I am an Indonesian (it is a country in South East Asia for anyone who doesn't know) who recently just graduated from a diploma course. I am interested in doing stage in Europe  (Italy or France for experience or a permanent job. I want to more about what I need to prepare before applying for stage. What visa i should apply for doing stage?

Really need advice as my lecturers are not sure about this thing.

Thank you

In most EU countries, obtaining a visa is a complicated and expensive procedure. A working visa is very difficult as you need to prove you have specific skills that noone from within the EU possesses.

My country (UK) has a list of occupations with skill requirements. This is a very specific list of professions. I believe most EU countries have similar restrictions.

You would be looking at a schengen visa for Italy and/or france, but working visa are hard to get..
Best is to contact their embassies and look ar the Dutch embassy as well as there will be certain bilateral agreements between holland and indonesia.
Also look at a work-study visa. Some countries allow "youngsters" in on a combined study, work and travel visa
Good luck!
