I like my new toy.

No pictures for this, sorry.  Made a cauliflower cheddar soup for tonight, turned out very tasty.  Karen gave it at least 4 yums, maybe 5.

The soup gave me a chance to use my new stick blender - I'm impressed at how quickly it pureed the soup.  I'm sure I'll be using it more.  It is a Cuisanart Smart Stick, hardly top of the line but I was impressed with it tonight.

Used one while at my in-laws to make my parsnip/swede/avocado mash; it was significantly easier (and possible!) to get a smooth consistency than when I used a hand-masher at home. A definite next-buy for me too I think.

I can't live without mine, I've got a cuisinart too and I find it works beautifully.  It purees soups, breaks up tomato sauce, and you can use it to make smoothies too.

I've got a waring one that is pretty good. I don't use it that often as I'm not a big soup maker.
