Online pastry schools

Hi all! Are online pastry schools any good? Can you really learn from them?

Could somebody please reference me to a good, known, respected, accredited online pastry school??

I think online culinary schools can teach you theory etc... but can you (physically) do it...?

I don´t see how something shown online will allow you to get hand on experience, as well as allow you to taste and give you an idea on flavor profiles etc....

I feel they can teach you theory, but what about getting your hands dirty and actually cooking, thats something a computer screen can´t teach you. You can´t taste, smell or feel the food over the screen, so what benefit is it to someone who relies on these senses when working in the industry.

I'm sorry, but I think hands-on learning is pretty important for pastry. You can, and certainly should, augment your hands on experience with other types of learning.  I just think too many of the basics have to be mastered by doing.  If you don't want to attend pastry classes in person, on the job experience would be better than online.
