Hi from Canada!

Hi all!,


I have been lurking on the forums for quite some time, and have jet now decide to join as I had to ask some questions..


I started out as a trained chef, but went into computers.. now after 30 years I am going back into my original trade :) It;s quite the journey and I am liking it a lot. I have a bit of issues remembering all the jargon, but it is slowly coming back :).. At least my knife skills are still going strong .. lol


I really like the forum here and I hope I can contribute a little bit..

You, my friend, are in great company.  The folks here at CT share in your love of ALL things food.  Whatever your current pursuit, you’ll find plenty of like minded folk.

Chef Talk has been around for more than 13 years and has 50,000 + members from around the globe.  Everybody from CCI to people who think they can’t boil water.  A note, folks not employed in the food industries are asked to read only in the Pro forums, but they are very interesting.  The search bar is very useful in finding topics that have been around the world three times over.

I hope to see some over your successes as well as flops in the Galleries soon.

Thank you for your quick reply! I have learned a lot just by lurking here in the last little while and hope to contribute  a bit now :)

It seems like a great forum and a nice bunch of people here!
