Resrouces for food safe letter stamping options for cookies?

I'm looking for a food safe letter stamping kit for cookies to stamp custom messages or names into cookies.  I've only found a cheap, plastic consumer grade kit that is a nightmare to assemble.  The letters get stuck. Way too much of a time waste.

Any recommendations?  I'd like to set up the words and stamp, not punch in each individual letter.

Thank you for any recommendations!

There is an edible decal available through Kopykake.com.

Epson or Cannon printers are available that use food coloring instead of printer ink on glucose decals.

They come in different shapes and sizes.

Using your scanner and printer you can create anything you want, print it up,

It's a decal, so all you do is peel and stick them on your cookies.

Thanks so much for your response Chef Ross.  I definitely need to "stamp", rather than do a decal.

I am sure you have searched this on your own and have seen some of these already.

Cookie stamps (already made and usually purchased from private sources) are highly collectable, expensive and most likely useless for your needs.

Trying to patch random letters together and stamping is probably more work than you can charge for (altho with a steady hand you could do one letter at a time get an ok look if you don't die of boredom first lol).

Chase one or two of these down to the manufacturer, ask about food use and get bids for whichever meets your needs and build the cost into your price.

You could try the scrapbook aisle of a hobby store but those stamps are not food safe (even if you could luck across one that fits your needs).

Good luck in your search (really)....I love the look of stamped shortbread cookies with a brownish glaze brushed on before baking.

Very chic.

Thanks Mimi!  One of these from your link looks like it might actually pan out.  I'm ordering and will see.  If the letters don't get stuck (like the current product I'm using) I'll be happy to just be bored instead of frustrated and battling tiny little plastic letters.  Thanks again.
