What's your favorite Pancake?  Mine is Aebleskiver.

Thought I'd share this with you :)

First you need the pan.  Bought mine at W-S...

Then, the mix.  You can make your own, or W-S has some ;-)

And, you can fill them with just about anything you like.  Some ideas:

Oh yeah, my wife bought me the pan and I make them once in a while - is that you on the video?

My favorite pancakes are Kanom Krok (you can use the same pan!):

I've never made Kanom Krok (yet) but there are a few Thai communities around here, so you can see them preparing them and selling them at farmer's markets, or in Thai town where I always go buy them. Unlike Aebleskiver, they cook only half spheres and then put them together after they're cooked, so they don't really stay together unless you hold them very carefully. Also the center stays nearly liquid/raw while the exterior gets cooked, so you get a range of texture in there, it's absolutely delicious.

Solvang is not far from here, I've been there a few times, it's a fun little village to visit. I remember eating aebleskivers in the streets, soaked in red jam.. and the frikadelles at the smorgasbords!! :)
