The butcher gave me a packet of his very yummy pre packed sausage seasoning.
On the packet instructions.... use 7.63 oz per 25 lbs of meat.
How much is needed for 4.2 lbs of ground pork?
Just to throw the how it's done into the mix.
To do the conversion, you take the new yield (in this case, 4.2 lb) and divide it by the old yield (in this case, 25 lb) to get the conversion factor (which is 0.168)
Then you take that conversion factor and multiply it by the ingredients in the old recipe to get the new quantities. (in this case (.168 * 7.63 oz = 1.28 oz)
