It's finally starting to warm up a tiny bit(here in Rhode Island, at least). And the spring vegetables are finally popping up/img/vbsmilies/smilies/thumb.gif So let's share some food. Post any good spring-themed dishes you've made lately here!

Here's one I made today:

Warm asparagus salad with creamy vinaigrette and roasted pearl onions.

That does look so fresh and "springy"

Earlier today some of the community garden folks took the plastic off the hoop houses, gave a lot of greens their first taste of direct sunshine.  One person thinned out her radishes a bit - so tasty!

I got my basil and oregano potted, which offered a nice fresh touch to dinner. A simple angel hair pasta with a tomato and sausage sauce, topped with a small bit of the basil.  Fresh basil from the garden?  Yep, Spring.

Sounds awesome! I have yet to plant my garden this year because I'm moving into a new home within the next month. I'm bummed about missing the prime months for planting so many summer vegetables, but at least I'm within 10 miles of countless small farms with plenty of fresh veggies to go around.

Bring on the pasta primavera. Lovely presentation.  Don't know why, but I have trouble finding pearl onions here.  Asparagus or green bean topped with crispy "frizzled" shallots work, though. Waiting for the beautiful ripe juicy tomatoes, to make a simple asparagus, sliced tomato salad on a bed of butter lettuce, drizzled w/ vinaigrette.
