Recommended Cooking Range for restaurant

Opening a restaurant and have to buy a new 6 burner range. Don't want to break the bank so I'm looking at an American Range Model AR-6.  Does anyone have any reviews on this mode or recommend a model.  Thanks

I will see what our model is when I go to work again but we have an American range gas 6 burner and 2ft grill space that was bought new. It has been a nightmare from day one, and after warranty people and repairmen have came weekly 7 months later it still does not work correctly and causes many of headaches. It can be slightly difficult to cook when the grill will go cold for no apparent reason (no cold food being loaded or any such factor) in the middle of a dinner rush. The coins have resorted to using frying pans many times while waiting for the grill to warm back up. Any knowledge on this problem is welcome as well!

Boy JM it would seem as though you had a simple thermostat problem, can't imagine what else it might be other than an igniter linked to the tstat.  Perhaps American has been having trouble with their latest generation control boards.  In which case you could stay away from American for a while.  Times like this you could wish to be back in the days of thermal-bulb mechanical systems.  Boar d Laze thought highly of the American line, but then again he hasn't been in the business for some years.
