Thanks for the comments guys. For me, reputable means something I could hold in my hand first. Especially being left handed, if was imperative I be able to handle the knife. Additionally, I want to know that there is a company that's going to stand behind their product in the event of a manufacturing defect, etc. I'm sure Randy makes great knives, just not the right decision for me right now.

Also, the more I use the Yaxell's, the more I love them. I just made a dinner special for 40 people for a restaurant I use to GM and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was truly a pleasure to hand chop all of the ingredients for the tabbouleh. I wish I switched to J knives years ago!

Though this is not a brand I am familiar with your comments on your experience moving to J knives definitely is.

And it's almost always a positive one and that's what is important.
